Tip-up Jonttu

Tip-up Jonttu is designed in such a way that when caught, a predatory fish does not feel the weight when grabbing the bait, and when unwinding the line, the fish does not let go of the bait as easily as with a normal tip-up.

A hook-up is signaled by a flag, rising by a rubber band.

Jonttu fits well in your ice fishing box. The set includes monofilament, treble hook, tungsten leader, rubber band and tip-up.

How to use Jonttu:

Drill a hole in the ice (at least 130 mm). Apply the bait by pushing one barb of the hook through the dorsal fin of the fish. The best baitfish is a small roach or perch. Release the bait fish into the water, a suitable height is approx. 50 cm from the bottom of the water. Then use the included rubber band to adjust the sensitivity for tip-up. A red flag goes up when the predatory fish has swallowed the baitfish. For larger fish, it is also worth preparing a gaff hook for better retrieving the fish from the icehole.
